The Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Service Coordinator will receive repair orders from customers in our 145-repair station (FAA/EASA), both physically and in the computer system. Place orders at vendors and follow up status to ensure turnaround time is met. Responsibilities include: Quality check orders coming in from vendors and customers, preparing incoming repairs from vendors for shipment to customers, contacting and communicate with customers and vendors over the phone as well as over e-mail to acknowledge orders, and providing order status and shipment details.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Receive repair orders from customers, both physically and in the computer system.
  • Place orders and follow up status to ensure turnaround time is met.
  • Monitor incoming parts rack.
  • Close out work orders and prepare for shipping.
  • Pull parts for repairs.
  • Ensure processing of Articles is performed IAW paragraph 8.5 of the RSQM
  • Manage / maintain vendor quality audits / surveys and ensure service providers are approved before repair orders are issued.
  • Conduct communication with customers under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager
  • Ensure that materials, parts, and components for installation in civilian aviation articles are properly received, documentation received with the article is properly filed and the items are properly stored and/or processed after inspection by the Chief Inspector.
  • Ensure the preservation and storage of all articles, materials, parts and supplies.
  • Review the shelf-life expiration report and verify items are labeled and stored correctly.
  • Control and distribute inventory.
  • Ensure completed work is appropriately processed, packed, and shipped and all appropriate documents are filed.
  • Follow up pending approvals.
  • Monitor overdue repair orders.
  • Monitor tollgates and update notes on work orders.
  • Quality check vendor orders returning from overhaul.
  • Send out rotables for repair.
  • Source parts.
  • Quote and follow up internal and external repairs with customers.
  • Receive repair orders/purchase orders.
  • Monitor internal and external rotables stock report.
  • Updating order status in the computer system.
  • Quality checking orders coming in from vendors and customers.
  • Preparing incoming repairs from vendors for shipment to customers.
  • Regularly contacting customers and vendors over the phone as well as over e-mail.
  • Contacting customers to acknowledge orders and provide order status and shipment details.
  • Handling customer questions and requests.
  • Solving problems that may arise with repairs.
  • Assist with inspection and packaging.
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Required:
  • Formal education, high school, or equivalent
  • Administrative and Customer Service background
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as Internet).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment and industry.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Quantum Control Database
  • Prior experience working in an FAA Part 145 repair station or other experience in aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul is a plus.
