QUALITY INTERN - TEAM JAS, INC.
Team JAS, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about aviation component inspection, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with our experienced team to support inspections, documentation, and quality control initiatives for aircraft components.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Parts Receiving & Handling
  • Unpackage incoming parts safely
  • Count and verify quantities against paperwork
  • Match documents to parts
  • Report missing or incorrect documentation
  • Organize and stage parts for inspection
Documentation & Data Entry
  • Check documents for completeness
  • Log basic information into tracking sheets or systems
  • File or store documents properly for quality review
Part Marking Support (As Needed)
  • Apply part markings when required (with instruction)
  • Confirm correct location and information before marking
Nonconformance Support (As Needed)
  • Identify and notify quality when parts appear incorrect
  • Assist with applying red-tags and moving items to quarantine area
Organization & Inventory
  • Maintain traceability: Labels must match parts and paperwork
  • Help organize shelves, bins, and workstations
  • Monitor low inventory of packaging supplies and notify lead
  • Maintain clean and organized packaging areas

REQUIRED HOURS
Minimum 20 hours per week, with occasional opportunities up to 25 hours as needed.

This is an onsite position in Jacksonville, FL. Remote work is not available.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be currently enrolled in a nationally accredited baccalaureate program.
    Aerospace, Industrial, Quality, Logistics, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail: Accurately count and verify parts and documents
  • Willingness to learn: Open to training in quality processes
  • Dependable and organized: Keep parts, labels, and paperwork in order
  • Good communication: Asks questions if unsure of a step, speaks up if something isn't right
  • Team-oriented: Works well with quality techs and production staff
  • Able to climb, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Basic computer skills: Comfortable entering information and updating logs
  • Safety-minded: Follows proper handling and shop safety procedures
  • Basic math skills: Able to add and subtract for accurate piece part count
  • Comfortable working with structured tasks in a process-driven environment
