The Team JAS Repair Station is FAA Certified (#YJAR8401), EASA Certified (EASA.145.6700), and a Viking Air Factory Endorsed Component Center. Our 33,000-square-foot facility is in Jacksonville, Florida, and houses our inventory, shipping & receiving department, our 145-component repair station, and our PMA/engineering department.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Planner will ensure a smooth repair process from order placement to delivery by managing orders received from customers at our 145-repair station (FAA/EASA), physically and through our computer system (Quantum Control). This role includes quoting customers on repair costs and coordinating follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction. The coordinator will place orders with 3rd party vendors and track their status to meet the required turnaround times. Key responsibilities include providing quotes, status updates, and shipment details, following up with customers to confirm receipt of quotes, quality checks on orders from vendors and customers, and preparing incoming repairs from vendors for shipment to customers.
- Receive repair orders from customers, physically and in the computer system
- Place orders and follow up on status to ensure turnaround time is met
- Monitor incoming parts rack to keep orders current
- Quote and follow up on internal and external repairs with customers
- Close out work orders and prepare for shipping
- Pull piece parts for repairs
- Ensure processing of Articles is performed IAW paragraph 8.5 of the RSQM
- Manage / maintain virtual vendor quality audits / surveys and ensure service providers are approved before repair orders are issued
- Maintain communication with customers under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager
- Ensure that materials, parts, and components for installation in civilian aviation articles are properly received, documentation received with the article is properly filed and the items are properly stored and/or processed after inspection by the Chief Inspector
- Ensure the preservation and storage of all articles, materials, parts and supplies
- Review the shelf-life expiration report and verify items are labeled and stored correctly
- Control and distribute repair stations piece part inventory
- Ensure completed work is appropriately processed, packed, and shipped and all appropriate documents are filed
- Monitor overdue repair orders
- Monitor tollgates and update notes on work orders
- Quality check vendor orders returning from overhaul
- Send out rotables for repair
- Source parts as needed
- Monitor internal and external rotables stock report
- Update order status in the computer system
- Provide solutions to customer questions and requests
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks
- Formal education, high school, or equivalent
- Administrative, sales, or Customer Service background
- Expertise in MRP systems, preferably Quantum.
- Prior experience working in an FAA Part 145 repair station or other experience in aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul is a plus.
